Marker

The layout of all the pattern pieces of a production run on the actual width of the fabric, ready to cut several layers at once.

Also called a "marker layout". It is measured by its efficiency (how much of the fabric is used), and the fabric consumption of a production run depends directly on it.

Example

A marker with 85% efficiency uses 85 of every 100 cm of fabric width; the rest is waste between pieces.
