Rise
A pants measurement that runs from the waist at the front, through the crotch, to the waist at the back (or, depending on the context, only the front or the back part of that path).
The front rise and the back rise can be measured separately: they are among the measurements that most affect the fit and the wrinkles of a pair of pants if they are calculated wrongly.
Example
Pants with horizontal wrinkles under the seat usually have a back rise that is too short for that person.
