Tech pack
The document that gives a garment workshop everything it needs to produce a style: drawings, measurements, materials and construction details.
A tech pack (technical package) usually includes the technical flat drawing, a measurement chart with tolerances, the list of materials (fabrics, trims, labels), stitching and finishing details, colorways and packaging instructions. It works as a contract between the brand and the workshop and prevents mistakes in sampling and production.
Example
The tech pack states that the side seams are overlocked with a 1 cm allowance and that the finished chest width may vary by 1 cm; the workshop uses it to approve the sample.
