PDF sewing patterns to print, cut and produce clothing
Clothing sewing patterns in print-ready PDF: on A4 sheets (print at home and tape them together following the numbered guide) or as a plotter PDF (print at true width at any plotting service). All of them include the full size range and a test square to check the scale.
See the full catalog (more than 2,000 sewing patterns) — also available in PDF A4, PDF plotter, DXF/AAMA, PDS (Optitex), MRK (markers), ADS (Audaces), PLT, CDR and sublimation.
What each PDF file includes
A print-ready sewing pattern needs no adjustment before use: the pieces already come laid out at true scale, numbered if it is an A4 PDF, with a test square so you can check with a ruler that the print did not lose scale. That is the difference between a sewing pattern and a drawing of a garment: here every line is made for cutting fabric.
- All the pieces of the garment, at true scale.
- Full size range: XS to 4XL for adults, 2 to 18 for kids.
- Notches, grainlines and seam allowances marked.
- Test square to check the print.
- Sheet numbering on A4 PDFs so you can tape them together in order.
Which PDF format suits you
A4 PDF if you print at home or at the office and are making samples or a small run. Plotter PDF if you cut in volume and do not want to tape sheets. If you cut with a CAD system, the same pattern exists in DXF/AAMA, Optitex PDS and Audaces ADS: the full comparison is on the digital patternmaking page.

Frequently asked questions about PDF sewing patterns
What are PDF sewing patterns?
They are digital clothing patterns delivered as a PDF file, ready to print and cut: they include every piece of the garment at true size, the full size range and a control square to check that the print did not lose scale.
How do I print PDF patterns?
Open the file and print with the scale set to 100% or "actual size", never "fit to page". An A4 PDF comes out as numbered sheets that you tape together in order; a plotter PDF comes out as a single true-width sheet at a plotter print service. In both cases, measure the control square with a ruler before cutting fabric.
What is the difference between an A4 PDF pattern and a plotter pattern?
The A4 PDF is split into A4 sheets to print on any home printer and tape together following the numbering; it is the more economical option. The plotter PDF is the same full piece on a single sheet 90, 120 or 150 cm wide, meant to be printed at a plotter print shop and used directly in a workshop.
What do I need to use a downloadable pattern?
For an A4 PDF, a regular printer, A4 sheets, tape or glue and a ruler to check the scale. For a plotter PDF, take the file to any plotter print shop. For DXF/AAMA, PDS or ADS, the matching CAD system. No special software and no paid licenses are needed for the PDF formats.
Are PDF patterns ready to print?
Yes: each file is downloaded, printed at 100% scale and cut, with no editing step beforehand. The pieces already come arranged, at true size and with the control square.
Do PDF patterns include all sizes?
Yes, each PDF pattern includes the full size range (XS to 4XL for adults, 2 to 18 for kids), already graded and approved with a sewn sample; on the product page you choose which sizes to take.
Can PDF patterns be used for sublimation?
For sublimation a different version of the pattern is delivered: each panel separately, at true size, with bleed, registration marks and the heat-press shrinkage compensation (approximately 1 to 3% on microfiber and polyester jersey). It is ordered from the product page or via WhatsApp; sublimation only fixes on synthetic fiber, not on cotton.
Can I use PDF patterns to produce and sell clothing?
Yes, the license is for productive use: you can sew and sell garments made with the pattern in unlimited quantities. The only thing not allowed is reselling or redistributing the pattern file itself.
What does it mean for a pattern to be "ready to print"?
That no editing or adjusting is needed before printing: the file already has the pieces arranged, at true size and with a control square. You just open it, print it at 100% scale and cut.
Where can I get ready-made PDF patterns to print today?
In the Modeltex catalog: choose the pattern, buy it and it is available to download right away (those marked as "instant download" are unlocked as soon as payment is confirmed). There is no shipping time because it is a digital file.
