Sublimation Sewing Patterns for Sportswear, Delivered by Panel
Modeltex sublimation patterns are garment patterns prepared for printing: one file per panel in CDR, PLT or PDF, at true size, with bleed, registration marks and the shrinkage compensation that the heat press causes. They are for sublimation printers and sportswear workshops that design on each piece. They are available on request, from the product page or via WhatsApp.

What we deliver and what you do
We deliver the garment pattern already split into panels: front, back, sleeves, collar and whatever pieces the style needs, each at true size, with seam allowance, bleed around the outline, registration and size marks, and the full size range, XS to 4XL for adults and 2 to 18 for kids.
The rest of the workflow is your production: designing on each panel, printing the transfer paper, pressing it onto the fabric, cutting and sewing. This page is for ordering the pattern; to understand why the pattern changes and how to work the design, see the sublimation patterns guide.
Which catalog garments to order for sublimation
Sublimation makes sense on polyester garments, and that is where most sublimation orders are. The catalog has patterns for:
- Adult and kids' sports jerseys: V-neck or crew neck, with color panels, fitted or compression.
- Sports and soccer shorts, for women, men and boys.
- Long and short sports leggings, and cycling shorts.
- Tank tops and sports tops.
- Sports sets, sweatshirts and sports jackets with panels.
- Polo shirts for sports and company uniforms in polyester piqué.
Which file you receive: CDR, PLT or PDF
You choose the format according to the software you design in:
- CDR, if you work in CorelDRAW: import the pattern at 1:1 scale, lock its layer and use each outline as a mask for the design.
- PLT, a 1:1 scale vector that also imports into CorelDRAW.
- True-size PDF, with vectorized pieces.
- If your workshop cuts on a CAD system, the same style can also be ordered as DXF/AAMA, PDS or ADS. Before printing, check the scale by measuring a known piece or the control square.
How to order and how the order is handled
You order from the product page or via WhatsApp, and the order is built panel by panel. To get a quote, send us:
- The pattern name or code and the sizes you will produce.
- The file format (CDR, PLT or PDF) and the software you design in.
- The fabric and, if you have measured it, the shrinkage it shows when pressed with your parameters.
- Whether it is a one-off run or a style you will restock by size during the season.
- With that we prepare the panels with the right compensation and arrange the price and delivery over WhatsApp. You receive the files as a digital download, with no physical shipping.
The shrinkage test to run before ordering
Polyester moves with heat and each fabric lot can behave differently, so the compensation is set with a test, not with a fixed number. Mark a 50 x 50 cm square on the fabric, press it with your production parameters, measure it in each direction and calculate how much it changed.
You give us that figure when you order the pattern and repeat it every time the fabric lot changes. A wrongly calculated compensation is only discovered after pressing and cutting, which is when it has already cost paper, ink and fabric.
Runs by size, teams and restocks
Each size is a different set of panels: the design is repositioned or scaled on each one, not copied identically. With the full size range you can produce a team in all the sizes on the list, or repeat a style when a restock comes in, using the same panels.
On jersey orders with names and numbers, each set of panels is printed with each player's data. Quality control is done after pressing and before cutting, looking for ghosting, printhead banding lines, off-tone colors and the registration between panels that have to line up at the seam.
If the style is not in the catalog
If your brand has its own jersey or set design, custom patternmaking develops it from a garment or a photo, using your brand's size chart and already paneled for sublimation. The productive-use license is the same as for every pattern: you make and sell garments in unlimited quantities, and the files are not resold.

Frequently asked questions
How do I order a sublimation pattern for a catalog jersey?
From the product page or via WhatsApp, giving the pattern name, the sizes, the file format (CDR, PLT or PDF) and the software you design in. It is prepared panel by panel on request and delivered as a digital download. If you already measure the shrinkage of your fabric when pressing, include it in the order.
Which catalog garments should I order in sublimation format?
The ones made in polyester: sports jerseys, soccer and sports shorts, leggings, tank tops, sports tops, sets and sports jackets, and polyester piqué polo shirts for uniforms. It does not apply to cotton, because sublimation ink only fixes on synthetic fiber. If you are unsure about a style, ask us on WhatsApp with its name.
What does each panel of a Modeltex sublimation pattern include?
Each panel comes at true size with seam allowance, a bleed around the outline, registration and size marks, and the heat-press shrinkage compensation. The panels of each size form a different set, with the full size range included, XS to 4XL for adults and 2 to 18 for kids.
Does Modeltex do the graphic design or print the sublimated garment?
Modeltex delivers the pattern prepared by panel; the graphic design, the transfer paper printing, the pressing and the sewing are part of your production or of your sublimation printer. If you need the pattern for a style of your own, already paneled for sublimation, order it as custom patternmaking from a garment or a photo.
Can I use the same design on every size of a sublimated jersey?
Not as it is: each size is a different set of panels, and the design is repositioned or scaled on each one. A motif that crosses a seam, like a stripe running from the front onto the sleeve, is designed with the pieces joined on screen and separated afterwards so that it lines up when sewn. Design on the panels of each size.
Which file format should I choose if I do not use CorelDRAW?
Order the true-size PDF, with vectorized pieces, which imports into most vector design programs, and check the scale by measuring a known piece before printing. CDR is the native CorelDRAW format and PLT also imports there. If your workshop cuts in CAD, the same style can be ordered as DXF/AAMA.
