School and Work Uniform Sewing Patterns for Series Production
Modeltex uniform patterns cover institutional production: aprons, school smocks, bib aprons, pants, polo shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, scrubs and work shirts, with the kids' and adult size ranges already graded. They are for workshops and factories that produce runs for schools, companies and healthcare facilities, and they are ordered as A4 PDF, plotter PDF or CAD formats.

Which uniform garments are in the catalog
For school uniforms there are aprons and smocks for boys and girls, bib aprons, school pants, school shorts, skorts, pleated school dresses, school jackets, polo and piqué shirts, sweatshirts and joggers.
For work and service wear there are V-neck scrubs for healthcare (scrub tops, polo-style scrub tops and sets with joggers), button-front work coats with pockets, short-sleeve uniform shirts with epaulettes, work shirts with pockets, cargo and tactical pants, vests and jackets. If your sector needs a garment that is not listed, it is developed through custom patternmaking.
Size range: from kindergarten to high school and adults
A school needs everything from small kindergarten sizes up to high school sizes, plus adult sizes for older students and teachers; a company needs XS to 4XL, with a real presence of large sizes. The patterns include the full size range: 2 to 18 for kids and XS to 4XL for adults, with the industrial grading done and approved with a sample.
Some uniform patterns are unisex and combine kids' and adult sizes on the same product page, such as school pants, the school jacket and the adult apron. For the rest, the kids' style and the adult style are different patterns, because the proportions and the grading change.
Long runs: markers, stacked-layer cutting and size mix
Uniforms are cut in stacked layers, batch by batch: one client, one size sheet, one date. The size breakdown comes from the list that the school or company collects, not from an estimate, and that sheet is the data for building the marker.
Mixing sizes in one marker uses fabric better than cutting size by size, and large sizes use more than the middle size, which is worth reflecting in your quote. Modeltex builds the MRK marker to your fabric width and to the order's size breakdown, and the pattern is ordered in the format of your cutting system.
Which format to order for the way your workshop cuts
The format depends on how you cut and how many times you repeat the style:
- Plotter PDF: for cutting by hand in quantity. It prints at a true width of 90, 120 or 150 cm and is reprinted when it wears out.
- DXF/AAMA, PDS or ADS: for factories with CAD, which make markers on screen and remake them when the roll width changes. They are ordered on request via WhatsApp.
- A4 PDF: for the sample and to test the fit before cutting the batch.
- A sample of each garment is still the final check: having the client approve color, logo and fit before cutting the batch avoids complaints.
Logo, embroidery and the client's own styles
The logo is defined on the pattern: set the position of the crest or embroidery on the front so that all sizes carry it at the same height, and embroider the flat piece before closing the garment when the run allows it. On polyester sports uniforms, personalization can be done by sublimation, with the pattern delivered by panel.
If the school or company has its own style, custom patternmaking develops it from the garment or a photo, using the client's size chart and in the format you use. It is how you get the same fit on every restock.
How to quote and order patterns for a batch
The workflow that works best is this:
- Ask the client for the sheet with the quantity per garment and size, and confirm fabric and color.
- Choose the pattern for each garment in the catalog and the sizes from the sheet, and test the fit with a sample.
- If you cut with CAD, ask via WhatsApp for the format of your system and for the marker at your roll width.
- With the consumption per garment from the marker you build the unit cost, and only then quote the client. The costing and uniform guides walk through the calculation.
License, restocks and file guarantee
The productive-use license lets you manufacture and sell garments in unlimited quantities, for your own brand or for third parties, such as when you produce for a school. The files cannot be resold. Because the pattern is a file, the restock is cut with the same fit as the first batch.
Because it is digital, it cannot be returned for a change of mind once the download is unlocked, but files are guaranteed; check the sizes and the format on the product page before paying.

Frequently asked questions
Which school uniform garments can I produce with the catalog patterns?
Aprons and smocks for boys and girls, bib aprons, school pants, school shorts, skorts, pleated school dresses, school jackets, polo and piqué shirts, sweatshirts and joggers. Kids' styles come with the 2 to 18 size range and some add adult sizes on the same product page. If a garment from your school is missing, it is developed through custom patternmaking.
Are there uniform patterns for healthcare facilities and companies, not just schools?
Yes: V-neck scrubs (scrub tops, polo-style scrub tops and sets with joggers), button-front work coats with pockets, short-sleeve uniform shirts with epaulettes, work shirts with pockets, cargo and tactical pants, vests and jackets, in the adult size range from XS to 4XL. If your sector needs a specific garment that is not there, it is developed on request.
Are there uniform patterns that cover kids and adults in one file?
Only in some unisex styles, such as school pants, the school jacket and the adult apron, which combine kids' and adult sizes on the same product page. For the rest, the kids' style and the adult style are different patterns, because the proportions and the size grading change, and each one appears in its own catalog category.
Which format fits a long run of uniforms?
It depends on how you cut: plotter PDF if you cut by hand in quantity, and DXF/AAMA, PDS or ADS if you have a CAD system and make markers on screen. In any case you can add the MRK marker to your fabric width and to the order's size breakdown.
How do I repeat a uniform with the same fit next year?
With the same pattern and the same client spec sheet. Because the pattern is a file, you print it again or open it in your system and it has not worn out, and the marker adapts if the roll width changes. Record the fabric, the color code, the logo position and the size chart used so that the restock comes out the same.
